“Lettuce.Baby” Terms of Service

Last updated: August 1, 2026 · Applies to all accounts and gifts made on or after this date.

1. Who we are

lettuce.baby (“lettuce.baby”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Lettuce Park A, Limited Liability Company (“Lettuce Park A”) and is part of the Lettuce ecosystem. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and us governing your use of the lettuce.baby website, registry pages, dashboard, browser extension, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating a registry, contributing to one, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Who can use lettuce.baby

To create a registry you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. Guests may contribute to a registry without an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Your registry and your content

You may add products by pasting links from third-party stores, using our curated checklist, or using the browser extension. You are responsible for the accuracy of the items, notes, photos, and other content you add (“Your Content”). You represent that you have the right to share Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or violate any law. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, display, and share Your Content solely to operate the Service, including on the public registry page you choose to share.

We may remove content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful to a child, or otherwise in violation of these Terms.

4. Products from third-party stores

lettuce.baby is not a store and does not sell the physical products listed on your registry. When a guest chooses to buy a listed item, they purchase it directly from the third-party retailer, subject to that retailer’s own terms, pricing, availability, shipping, and return policies. Prices and images we show for a pasted link are fetched from the retailer and may be out of date. Some links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission at no additional cost to the buyer; this never changes the price a guest pays.

5. Cash gifts, the diaper fund, and group gifting

Guests may contribute money toward a cash fund (such as the diaper fund) or chip in toward a group gift. Card payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe) as described below. To receive payouts, registry owners must complete the processor’s onboarding and identity verification.

Processing fees. Cash gifts and group-gift contributions are subject to a small processing fee, disclosed to the guest before they pay. This fee covers payment processing and operating the Service and, once a contribution is completed, is non-refundable except where a refund is required by law.

Contributions are gifts to the registry owner. Once a contribution is completed and made available for payout, it belongs to the registry owner to use at their discretion; we do not guarantee that funds will be spent on any particular item. We are not responsible for how a registry owner uses gifted funds.

6. Payments and payouts

Payments are handled by Stripe, and by using the payment features you also agree to the applicable Stripe terms. We do not see or store full card numbers. Payouts to registry owners are made through the connected payment account after any applicable holds, verification, and processing fees. You authorize us and our processor to charge, hold, and disburse funds as described. You agree the descriptor on a guest’s statement may reference lettuce.baby, Lettuce Park A, or our payment processor.

7. Refunds, chargebacks, and disputes

If a guest believes a contribution was made in error, they should contact support@lettuce.baby promptly and give us a reasonable opportunity to help before initiating a card chargeback. Refunds of completed contributions are at our and the registry owner’s discretion except where required by law. Initiating a chargeback for a validly completed contribution is a breach of these Terms; we may contest such chargebacks, recover the disputed amount plus reasonable costs, and suspend the account involved.

8. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service for fraud, money laundering, or to solicit contributions under false pretenses.
  • Do not upload content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative of minors, harassing, or infringing.
  • Do not scrape, resell, overload, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass security or fees.
  • Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

We may suspend or terminate accounts, cancel contributions, and remove content to enforce these rules or to comply with law.

9. Browser extension

The optional browser extension lets you add products to your registry from other websites. It reads publicly available page details (such as title, image, and price) only when you choose to add an item, and it relies on your existing lettuce.baby session. It does not sell your browsing history and only handles data as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, and logos, is owned by Lettuce Park A and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for Your Content, nothing in these Terms grants you any right to our branding or software beyond using the Service as intended.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that listings, prices, or availability shown from third-party stores are accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not a party to the purchase of any physical product and are not responsible for third-party retailers or shippers.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lettuce Park A and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, or loss of profits arising from the Service or third-party content. Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the processing fees Lettuce Park A actually retained on the specific transactions giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the event first giving rise to liability. Where no such fees were retained, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by applicable law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Lettuce Park A, its officers, and its service providers harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, on an individual basis only — you and Lettuce Park A waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action. Either party may still bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by writing to legal@lettuce.baby.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes apply to use after the “last updated” date above. Your continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
